SCC and the Covid-19 pandemic
Final output of the project
Final output of the project
SCC project started in September 2018 and ended in August 2021. After the first half of the project duration the Covid-19 pandemic hit Europe and the partners had to overcome many issues and adapt. As everyone else has needed to do.
We then decided to keep going despite the fact that the project was designed between 2015 and 2017 in a very different context and no one could have anticipated the challenges we faced in 2020 and 2021.
During the first wave of the pandemic we produced some short videos to share the reaction to the health crisis and the lockdowns right when they were happening.
Later the partners agreed that it would be best to go more in depth in the analysis of the situation and we changed the plans for the last paper planned in the project accordingly.
In 2020 we asked ourselves: How do collaborative spaces and innovation communities fit in our society after 2020/2021?
The paper you can download from this page is the result of a collective reflection on the essence of how collaborative spaces and innovation communities can contribute to a better social life and a more sustainable societal development after the Covid-19 pandemic. We collected examples, lessons learnt, and challenges to offer a vision for the future, near and distant. The conclusions and recommendations are based on our own reflections and the feedback received in the local events and the final European event online in August 2021.
